Job Description:
Big Motoring World Group is an expanding car supermarket group that is going from strength to strength and is looking to employ a Yard Person at our Preparation Centre Site in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast and progressive moving group as well as working alongside experienced technicians to help and support and your career development. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable individuals with a self-motivating attitude, with an eye for detail and able to work as part of a team within a busy, fast-moving environment.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00am to 17:00pm, 40 hours per week
Duties and responsibilities:
- Safe movement of vehicles on site
- Shuttle runs to Fengate and dealerships
- Inspection of vehicles unloading from our vehicle transporters
- Identifying damage, vehicle defects or shortages from vehicle specifications
- Key programming to our key management system
- Moving vehicles to workshops in date priority order.
- General yard duties
- Prior experience of working to efficiency targets
- Good communicative skills and ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions
- Any Ad-hoc duties as required
- Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures
- Driving licence essential
Hold a Full UK Driving Licence - Any job offer that requires driving company vehicles is subject to a DVLA check, and applicants with six or more penalty points or a previous disqualification may not meet our insurance requirements and therefore may not be eligible for employment.
