How you'll make a difference
Reporting to the BI Reporting Team Leader, you will combine your knowledge of data analysis, reporting and visualisation techniques with strong business area knowledge to deliver actionable insight for our internal stakeholders. You'll be responsible for:
Creating, improving and migrating reports, visualisations and dashboards using enterprise BI tools.
Working closely with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translate them into clear, practical solutions.
Using data analysis and SQL skills to interrogate data, identify trends and produce trusted insight.
Supporting data lineage assessments, report attribute mappings and user acceptance testing.
Working with data warehouse developers as new and enhanced data marts are created.
Working cross-functionally within project teams using approaches such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban or Waterfall.
What will you bring to the role?
Prior experience working in a BI or Data role, using enterprise BI tools such as Power BI, SAP Business Objects, Tableau or Qlik.
Experience of using and exposure to dimensional data models e.g. Kimball, Star Schema's.
Ability to analyse and solve problems, often working with a degree of ambiguity, and with a strong attention to detail.
Possess a high level of interpersonal skills - ability to work cross-functionally to interpret, understand and document our stakeholders' requirements.
Exposure to common project delivery methodologies (e.g. Agile/Scrum/Kanban/Waterfall) and collaboration tools (e.g. JIRA).
