We're looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Support Worker to join our dedicated team at Plean Dene to join this Local authority-run home in Shanklin for adults with a learning disability.
To be a senior support worker you will need to be a strong communicator with a clear commitment to excellence.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys leading by example, supporting colleagues and delivering outstanding person-centred care. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the people we support live safe, happy and fulfilling lives while helping to maintain the highest standards across the service, as well as supporting the staff team and Registered Manager with the smooth running of the home
What the Role Involves
- Leading and supporting the care team on a day-to-day basis.
- Supporting people to achieve their goals and maintain independence.
- Assisting with staff supervision, training and health & safety responsibilities.
- Managing and auditing care records, support plans and risk assessments.
- Working closely with health professionals, families and other agencies.
- Undertaking medication and key holder duties following training.
- Taking part in the on-call rota, offering support and guidance outside normal working hours.
- Being willing to cover any shift at short notice in emergency situations to ensure continuity of care and support for the people who rely on us.
Working Pattern
- Early Shifts: 7:15am – 2:45pm
- Late Shifts: 2:30pm – 10:00pm
- Working every other weekend
- Participation in the on-call rota is required
Flexibility to support the service and cover emergency shifts when needed.
