We’re looking for an eCommerce Trading Manager to join our International Trading team on a 12 Month FTC (maternity cover)! Based from NEXT Head Office in Enderby, Leicestershire, offering a competitive salary range starting from £43,000 and great benefits!
The Role:
The International eCommerce Trading team fuels global growth by managing and optimising online product sales across 83 international markets. They drive exciting product launches, strategic promotions, and collaborate with leading third-party platforms to maximise sales and brand visibility worldwide.
As an eCommerce Trading Manager, you’ll join a commercially driven team dedicated to growing our international business. In this role, you’ll look closely at our website traffic and sales figures to understand how people shop, using those insights to make smart, effective updates to the site. By removing friction for our shoppers and improving their overall experience, you’ll play a direct part in turning more online visits into profitable sales for your region.
What You’ll Take On:
- Drive profitable sales growth for your region.
- Understand and explain sales performance by market.
- Think commercially about the shopping experience.
- Build strong external relationships to support sales growth.
- Provide clear reporting and concise commentary to the wider business.
Work closely with the Marketing Manager and Product Trading Lead to deliver commercially relevant content & campaigns.

- Own the onsite Funnel from start to finish.
- Understand and explain key Funnel metrics by market.
- Use data to drive decision making and identify opportunities for optimisation.
Drive localisation for your region by understanding the nuances of customer behaviour and optimising onsite UX based on this.

- Translate new ideas into practical solutions that have a tangible impact
- Own the test & learn roadmap for your regions, ensuring the commercial benefit of tests are analysed and successful outcomes are submitted forward for future developments

- Deputise for the Regional Manager where required.
- Understand your customer and deliver on your growth objectives.
- Build a close understanding of the trading calendars & customer shopping behaviours in your region to leverage key trading opportunities for NEXT.
- Identify and champion additional online functionality and features that will grow sales in individual countries.
- Identify improvements within internal and external processes, constantly working to improve efficiency, service levels and profitability.
- Develop a wide network of productive relationships around the business to ensure International is considered and supported in strategic business decisions.
- Share business knowledge quickly and accurately to ensure teams are able to be fully effective and understand priorities that impact International.
- Support in the development and execution of key strategic opportunities; liaising with internal and external stakeholders in order to get the job done.
What You’ll Bring:
- Prior eCommerce experience within a Trading role.
- Analytical and comfortable with large volumes of data; including key web metrics.
- Strong commercial acumen and a customer first approach.
- Able to identify, implement and drive commercial improvements that will lead to tangible improvements in onsite conversion and overall sales performance.
- An exceptional communicator who is comfortable and experienced at presenting to senior management and senior stakeholders.
- Skilled at delivering engaging and informative content in a clear, concise manner that focuses on big commercial wins to help shape the wider International strategy.
- Not afraid to ask questions or make suggestions that will benefit International.
- Confident about taking on a leadership role, acting as a key stakeholder for various different project teams and deputising for the Regional Manager as needed.
- Organised, thorough and excited by a challenge.
- Able to work well in a busy and fast moving ecommerce environment with demanding deadlines and large cross-functional teams.
