Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paralegal to join our busy conveyancing department within a highly regarded and well-established Law firm.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in residential conveyancing to assist the fee earner with the management of a varied caseload. Support will be expected from instruction through to post completion to ensure a high level of customer service is maintained.
This position would suit someone looking to progress their career within this area of law, is ambitious and highly organised.
Duties:
- Assist the file handler with varied caseload consisting of sales, purchases and re-mortgages, along with new builds, transfers, freehold/leasehold and registered/unregistered titles
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service
- Work independently on post-completion tasks including Land Registry and SDLT requirements
- Collaborating with clients, estate agents, and other solicitors to ensure smooth transactions
- Complete compliance on all residential conveyancing matters.
- Liaise with solicitors, lenders, and estate agents to ensure files are accurate and all parties are updated on the transaction.
- Prepare contracts.
- Conduct searches.
- Prepare completion statements.
- Set up completions and send completion letters/calls.
- Handle notices of assignment/transfers.
- Draft legal documents ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Maintain excellent file management.
- Provide administrative assistance.
- Perform additional duties as appropriate.
Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of residential conveyancing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build strong relationships with clients
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in legal documentation and compliance
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Strong organisational skills to maintain effective case management systems
- A proactive approach to business development and networking

- A flexible team player with a strong work ethic
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Paralegal with a minimum of 2 years’ experience
- Strong IT skills including MS Office and case management systems
