Duties
- Perform on-site surveys to assess terrain, shading, and structural conditions for solar panel installations
- Use hand tools and power tools to prepare sites, including clearing debris and minor groundwork
- Measure and record site dimensions accurately using surveying equipment and techniques
- Assist with the installation of mounting structures, ensuring proper alignment and stability
- Collaborate with electrical teams to evaluate existing electrical infrastructure and plan integration points
- Conduct inspections of site conditions, identifying potential obstacles or safety hazards
- Maintain detailed records of survey findings, measurements, and site conditions for project planning
Requirements
- Proven experience with excavator operation, welding, or other heavy machinery is highly desirable
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction or surveying environments
- Strong mechanical knowledge to understand structural components and installation processes
- Electrical experience or background in electrical systems is a plus for assessing wiring needs and safety compliance
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, maps, and site plans accurately
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and report findings clearly
- Physically capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods
