We are looking for an Engineering & Maintenance Lead to join our growing operation and take ownership of the engineering, maintenance, and facilities function across a unique and fast-paced production environment.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving a live operational site where reliability, responsiveness, and continuous improvement are critical to success.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth running, maintenance, and continuous improvement of a wide range of specialist equipment and site systems, including:
- Growth chambers and environmental control systems
- Packaging and sachet-filling machinery
- Biomass boiler and heating systems
- HVAC and air conditioning
- Fire and safety systems
- Site utilities and infrastructure
Working closely with operations and production teams, you’ll help minimise downtime, improve reliability, and ensure the site operates safely and efficiently.
Depending on experience, the role may involve leading and developing the maintenance team or growing into that responsibility over time.

You may currently be a Maintenance Engineer who is ready to take the next step into leadership and wants the opportunity to build a long-term career.
You’ll Ideally Have
- Experience within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment
- Strong mechanical engineering knowledge
- Electrical knowledge or qualifications would be advantageous
- Experience with maintenance planning and fault finding
- A proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Experience creating or improving engineering processes and procedures would be beneficial
- Leadership or supervisory experience is desirable but not essential for developing candidates
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent vocational/technical qualification preferred
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing planned and reactive maintenance activities
- Supporting operational continuity in a live production environment
- Developing preventative maintenance systems and engineering processes
- Managing contractors, servicing agreements, and compliance requirements
- Supporting Health & Safety and site compliance activities
- Creating documentation and procedures to improve site knowledge and reliability
- Driving continuous improvement across equipment and facilities
