We are seeking a skilled Light Vehicle Technician to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of light vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using schematics and technical manuals to identify faults in light vehicles.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out assembly, disassembly, and repair procedures efficiently.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as belts, hoses, batteries, and lighting systems.
- Carry out welding tasks where necessary to restore structural integrity of vehicle parts.
- Assist with the installation of accessories or aftermarket parts as required.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts utilised for each vehicle.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients.
Skills
- Strong understanding of vehicle schematics and mechanical systems.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Good knowledge of vehicle assembly processes and maintenance routines.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and diagnostic information accurately.
