Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Team Member to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong plumbing and electrical background to contribute to the smooth operation of our facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving equipment across our site, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability. A proactive approach, leadership qualities, and customer service skills are highly valued in this position. The flexibility to be able to work weekends, evenings and bank holidays depending on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Respond to maintenance requests from guests and colleagues in a timely and professional manner.
- Undertake maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical work, painting and decorating, joinery, repairs and garden maintenance.
- Conduct routine inspections of hotel areas, equipment and appliances.
- Follow hotel security, fire safety and health and safety procedures at all times .
- Assistance with Fire Safety and Health and Safety along side the H&S manager.
- Supervise junior team members or contractors during maintenance tasks, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Assist with installation of new equipment or upgrades to existing systems.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- The ability to perform physical tasks.
- Proven experience in maintenance roles.
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical or plumbing are advantageous. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills within a supportive environment while ensuring operational excellence across our facilities.
Pay: £28,000.00-£29,500.00 per year
