About the Role
ORG is seeking an experienced and proactive IT Security Consultant to help protect our technology infrastructure, applications, and business operations from evolving cyber threats. This role offers the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams, assess security risks, implement best practices, and support the delivery of secure, resilient IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability analysis, and risk evaluations.
- Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, policies, and security controls.
- Identify security risks and recommend effective mitigation measures.
- Support security architecture reviews for infrastructure, cloud, and business applications.
- Perform vulnerability management and coordinate remediation activities.
- Assist with incident response, investigations, and post-incident reviews.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to embed security throughout projects.
- Produce clear technical documentation, reports, and security recommendations.
- Stay informed about emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in IT security, cybersecurity consulting, information security, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of network security, cloud security, endpoint security, and identity and access management.
- Knowledge of vulnerability management, security monitoring, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, or Cyber Essentials.
- Experience with security tools including SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability scanners, or firewalls.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent.
- Experience supporting cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of penetration testing, security governance, and compliance programmes.

Pay: £63,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
