Contract: 4 Week Temporary Contract (with potential extension)

Rate: PAYE £172.34 per day
We're recruiting a Repairs Surveyor to support Housing Services with day-to-day responsive repairs and surveying duties. This is a key technical role, ideal for someone experienced, detail-oriented, and confident working in a fast-paced housing environment.
About the Role
As a Repairs Surveyor, you'll provide essential surveying and inspection services to ensure the smooth delivery of responsive repairs, contractor monitoring, and resident support.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering and monitoring responsive maintenance repairs
- Undertaking pre-inspections and post-inspections of council housing stock
- Identifying and diagnosing complex repairs for occupied and void properties
- Preparing precise specifications for structural and technical repairs
- Liaising with contractors and monitoring repair quality
- Conducting damp and mould inspections and advising residents
- Providing technical advice to staff and resolving disputes with contractors
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and data protection policies
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone proactive, technically skilled, and comfortable managing multiple tasks.
You'll ideally have:
- Degree level qualification or equivalent professional experience
- Knowledge of building maintenance, surveying, and contract management
- Sustained construction-related experience, ideally within social housing
- Strong report writing and performance monitoring skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
