Main Purpose & Scope of the Job
Representing the growth of Korean food in the UK, the company is looking for a driven and focused BDM to take the lead on identifying and developing new accounts nationwide, specifically in the wholesale, convenience, and foodservice channels.
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate business development achievements within any of these channels, preferably with ethnic food brands.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager:
- You will achieve and exceed expectations, demonstrating organisational skill, energy, and drive to the role.
- You will identify and qualify new leads, planning territories, creating a strong pipework of potential new customers.
- Once potential leads are converted, you may be required to manage some of the accounts, depending on their ongoing requirements.
- You will be required to demonstrate commercial awareness of the company’s and customer requirements, and be able to apply this to demonstrate astute commercial awareness that protects the company and meet customers’ demands.
- You will deliver an excellent customer experience, with a primary focus on preserving the company’s stance on any sensitive negotiations.
- You will be required to collaborate positively with other internal teams, including sales, commercial, inventory, purchasing, and technical.
- Maintain accurate reporting to the Commercial Manager and Senior Management.

· Proven experience in a business development role.

· High level of competence with IT, numeracy, and administrative skills.
· Driven to succeed beyond expectations.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong multitasking capabilities under pressure.
· Ability to work on their own without supervision, collaboratively with other departmental leads, and also work under direct instruction from the Managing Director and Chairman of the company.
· Clear, confident, and concise communication abilities.
· Full UK Driving Licence.
