The Role
We are seeking a personable and proactive IT Technician to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be part of our technical operations, ensure smooth event delivery, and support clients on-site. This is a dynamic role, ideal for someone with excellent technical ability, strong client-facing skills, and the flexibility to thrive in a seasonal, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day as part of the IT and technical support team
- Configure, deploy, and manage hardware (iPads, laptops, AV equipment, etc.)
- Provide technical support and ensure smooth on-site delivery at events
- Troubleshoot escalated issues and implement effective solutions
- Maintain inventory, conduct regular stock checks, and manage logistics
- Ensure all IT systems, networks, and software are up-to-date and secure
- Liaise with clients, ensuring clear communication and a professional presence
- Travel across the UK and internationally for on-site event support
- Drive and transport equipment to event sites as required
Requirements
- Proven experience in a IT support or technician role
- Personable and confident in client-facing environments
- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, iOS, and networking infrastructure
- Experience with device management tools (e.g. JAMF, MDM) is a plus
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Flexible with working hours – able to adapt to seasonal peaks and event schedules
- Passport – required for international travel
- Full driving license and 25+ years old – for insurance purposes (driving company vans)
- Based in the UK and willing to travel regularly for events and support
- Self-motivated and proactive during quieter periods (e.g. stock control, maintenance)
- Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Apple, etc.) are advantageous
