Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery of dishes during service hours
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
- Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or needs to the kitchen management
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety standards
- Support other kitchen staff during busy periods, fostering a collaborative environment
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers, minimising waste
- Assist with plating and presentation of dishes to meet aesthetic standards
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment or as a line cook is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices within a restaurant setting
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating organisational skills under pressure
- Basic understanding of restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer service principles
