About You!

You will be business focused, operationally and commercially curious individual who is keen to understand how wider business operations and decisions impact the financial performance of the business and vice versa.

Previous experience in a commercial finance role.

Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).

Data focused and analytically minded but with solutions driven mindset.

Confident and credible with colleagues across all areas of a business, including strong communication skills.

Ability to drive improvements in financial processes, systems, data quality and reporting.

Proficiency in financial reporting tools and platforms such as Microsoft Power BI, Analysis for Office, and Excel.

Knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to convey financial insights effectively.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with excellent commercial insight.
About the Role!

Lead the development, implementation and governance of pricing strategies across products, sectors and customer segments, ensuring commercial decisions maximise profitability growth, utilisation and return on capital.

Develop and enhance pricing models and decision-support tools, including IRR-based pricing methodologies, walkaway rates, target pricing frameworks and dynamic pricing approaches across the product portfolio.

Own and maintain pricing frameworks, methodologies and tools, ensuring pricing reflects asset investment, market conditions, competitor activity, desired returns and customer requirements.

Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, utilisation performance and achieved rates, identifying opportunities to optimise pricing, improve profitability and enhance return on deployed capital.

Partner with Sales and leadership teams to evaluate commercial opportunities, investment proposals and growth initiatives against key financial metrics including EBITDA, IRR, ROCE, utilisation and capital employed, providing robust recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Review, challenge and approve pricing proposals, contract deviations and commercial terms, ensuring compliance with delegated authority levels, commercial governance processes and pricing policies. o Support Pricing Committee reviews, Director approvals and commercial sign-off processes by preparing recommendations, business cases and detailed financial analyses.
