We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Driver & Small Yard operative to join our team based in Basildon.
This is a varied role combining driving duties with the day-to-day organisation and upkeep of a small yard. The successful candidate will be dependable, organised, and happy to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Driving company vehicles to deliver and collect equipment/materials.
- Towing trailers and machinery safely and confidently.
- Organising and maintaining the yard to ensure it remains clean, tidy, and efficient.
- Loading and unloading vehicles.
- Carrying out basic vehicle and equipment checks.
- Assisting with general yard duties as required.
- Stock taking and ordering
Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Confident and experienced towing trailers.
- Good organisational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling.
- Previous yard or driving experience is preferred but not essential.
