We have just relaunched our restaurant, now known as Honey & Co. Great Portland at 216 Great Portland Street, it's now a beautiful deli by day & restaurant / wine bar by night. The focus is on seasonal small plates cooked over fire alongside a strong profile of wines from the eastern Mediterranean & the Middle East.
We are looking for experienced & full time (40-45 hours/week) waiting staff.
You will be required to work both day & evening shifts & you will generally have every Sunday off.

You must be dedicated, engaging, enthusiastic and have a genuine love for hospitality. Successful candidates will possess an infectious & positive energy. With the relaunch of this venue, we are looking for someone with a natural interest in wine. A big part of the role will involve learning more about wine & being confident in discussing our wines with our guests. We will provide both in house training & after successful completion of an agreed probation period, we will provide WSET school training. Some past experience in wine service is very much preferred but candidates with a genuine love / interest for learning more about wines will definitely be considered.
Your responsibilities will include setting up your station and maintaining it throughout your shift, following our order of service with each table, making recommendations to diners and advising on any allergy or ingredient questions and communicating effectively with both the kitchen and front of house teams. We expect our waiting staff to be efficient on the floor: in terms of speed, accuracy, priorities and maintenance, and ultimately to ensure that all of our diners have the best possible experience from the moment they walk through our door. This role will generally involve working on the floor alongside serving wine & preparing drinks. However, we will also have our deli takeaway area at the front where you may occasionally work to cover shifts / holidays.
