Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems across various commercial and residential properties. Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in line with manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate system setup and troubleshooting
- Conduct routine maintenance to optimise system performance and extend equipment lifespan
- Diagnose faults in HVAC equipment using specialised tools and techniques
- Lead small teams during installation or repair projects, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to safety protocols
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and system conditions for future reference
- Assist with construction-related tasks involving HVAC systems as required
- Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems and equipment repair
- Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising or mentoring junior team members preferred
- Strong understanding of air conditioning systems, maintenance procedures, and construction practices related to HVAC installation
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the capacity to diagnose complex issues efficiently
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in HVAC technology or related fields are highly desirable
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail and safety compliance
