Responsibilities
- Offer one-on-one and group support tailored to each individual’s needs, promoting their personal growth and well-being
- Assist with daily activities such as educational tasks, recreational outings, and social interactions to encourage independence
- Mentor children and young people by providing guidance, encouragement, and positive role modeling
- Support the implementation of individualized care plans in collaboration with colleagues and families
- Foster a safe, inclusive environment that promotes respect, understanding, and active participation
- Help organize activities that develop life skills, communication abilities, and emotional resilience
- Document progress and incidents accurately to ensure consistent support and compliance with organizational policies
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or young people in educational, childcare, or community settings is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and motivate others through positive reinforcement and active engagement
- Knowledge of teaching strategies suitable for diverse learning needs and developmental stages
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members
- A proactive attitude with the flexibility to adapt to changing needs and situations in a dynamic environment
