Duties
- Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, welders, and cutting tools to shape and prepare steel components
- Perform grinding and finishing tasks to achieve desired surface quality and dimensions
- Conduct welding operations following safety protocols and technical specifications
- Use hand tools and tooling to assemble sheet metal parts accurately
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance
- Measure materials and components using basic math skills to ensure precise fabrication standards
- Assist in the setup and adjustment of machinery for different processing tasks
Skills
- Proven experience with fabrication, grinding, welding, and assembly processes
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to steel processing equipment and techniques
- Skilled in working with sheet metal, hand tools, and various tooling systems
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and quality checks
- Good understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing environment
- Capable of working independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
