Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of vehicle safety and compliance. Experience with commercial driving is highly desirable, along with a strong commitment to customer service and safety protocols.
Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods across designated routes
- Ensure all cargo is securely loaded and properly balanced before transit
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during driving operations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed
- Follow health and safety guidelines to promote a safe working environment at all times
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving
- Delivery driver experience preferred, demonstrating punctuality and reliability in meeting deadlines
- Valid driving licence suitable for commercial vehicle operation, with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of road regulations and best practices for safe vehicle operation
- Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools is advantageous
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing schedules or routes.
Pay: £15.00 per hour
