Role Overview:
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day running within the warehouse. They are responsible for the efficiency, effectiveness, safety and wellbeing of the warehouse staff to maximise productivity.
Duties:
- Helping to organise the day-to-day warehouse operation, for example overseeing the receiving, packaging, picking and shipping activities.
- Day to day organising and training of the warehouse team in conjunction with the warehouse manager.
- Ensuring that the warehouse is well-organised and that all products are stored correctly.
- Setting the daily pick schedule for the despatch team.
- Using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Following the standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Developing and improving warehouse processes and procedures.
- Completing packaging, receiving, and shipping tasks as and when required.
- Tracking in-bound and out-bound inventory.
- Collaborating with the customer service team and other departments.
- Escalating issues to the Warehouse Manager to help resolve issues and suggest potential solutions.
- Ensuring the team follows company policies and procedures, health and safety requirements and regulations.
- Supporting the Warehouse Manager with health and safety compliance by performing daily inspections of the warehouse and the equipment within it.
Requirements:
- Forklift Operation Certification and Counterbalance certificate.
- 3 years of experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role.
- Knowledge and experience with methods for process re-engineering.
- Ability to manage inventory.
- Ability to analyse data and provide insights from data.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Team player.
- Good time-management skills.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
- A strong sense of discretion and confidentiality is a must.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Good physical health.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience using SAP.
- Excel Skills.
