Job Title: Semi-Skilled Mechanic / Service Engineer
Salary: £13.64 per hour or £31,917 per annum
Hours: 45 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Sunday – Thursday
Annual Leave: 34 days per annum
We are currently recruiting for a Semi-Skilled Mechanic / Service Engineer to join the engineering team of a busy PSV operator.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a practical mechanical background looking to develop their skills within the PSV and commercial vehicle sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out basic servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs on PSV vehicles.
- Assist qualified technicians with more complex maintenance and repair work.
- Complete routine vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Support the workshop team in keeping vehicles safe, reliable and available for service.
- Follow company maintenance procedures and health & safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous mechanical or engineering experience.
- Practical hands-on approach to vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Experience working on commercial vehicles or buses would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety.
- Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn.
- Able to work as part of a team.
