You must be able to:
- To provide the highest standards of quality childcare and education to each child within a group room.
- Observe, support, enhance and extend children’s learning dependant on child’s interest
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date children’s records and have them ready for inspection at any time
- Build, maintain and work in close partnership to develop good relationships with parents / carers and other family members.
- To ensure that health and safety and security measures are constantly maintained.
- To be aware of and act in accordance with current legislation, policy and procedures of the setting
- To ensure all areas within your delegate rooms, the staff room, the office and communal areas are kept organised, clean and safe at all times.
- To ensure environments are suitable for the age of children within your care, and that they are accessible and inspiring
- Work alongside parents of all children to give full integration in the Nursery. Foresee the needs of all children and give physical, emotional, intellectual guidance as appropriate.
- Support all staff across the setting and engage in a good positive staff team morale. (including attending some social events outside of working hours)
- To be flexible within working practices of nursery. Be prepared to help where needed in other areas of the setting, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the nursery, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment, putting out bins, doing the laundry, etc. Also, flexibility with regard to working in different rooms as and when required ensuring effective operation of the nursery.
- Work alongside the Directors, Management team and staff team to ensure that the vision, philosophy and objectives behind Camelot Day Nursery are fulfilled.
- To respect the confidentiality of information received and shared with you
- To be aware of the high profile of the nursery and to uphold its standards at all times. To be an ambassador for Camelot Day Nursery both within the nursery and the wider community.
- To ensure the provision of a high-quality inclusive environment to meet the needs of the individual children from differing cultures, religious backgrounds and stages of development.
