Job Overview
Stevensons Furniture & Bedroom Centre are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Administration & Accounts Assistant to join our office team.
This is a varied role where you will help manage day-to-day office administration, support the accounts department, deal with suppliers and customers, answer incoming phone calls, and ensure office records and filing systems are kept up to date.
The successful candidate should have previous experience in administration and accounts, with experience using Sage Accounting System being essential.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial and office records.
- Process accounts payable and receivable tasks.
- Reconcile statements and ensure financial information is kept up to date.
- Assist with preparing reports and summaries for management.
- Deal with supplier and customer enquiries in a professional manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls and transfer them to the relevant person or department.
- Support general office administration, including filing, correspondence and record keeping.
- Maintain organised digital and physical filing systems.
- Assist with ordering office supplies where required.
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the office.
What we are looking for
- Previous experience in an administration or accounts role.
- Experience using Sage Accounting System.
- Strong understanding of general bookkeeping and accounts processes.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confident telephone manner and good communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive, reliable and professional attitude.
This role would suit someone who is organised, friendly and confident working in a busy office environment.
Pay: From £26,437.00 per year
