We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic team player to join our vibrant team here at Luna Café! The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional guest service and creating high-quality beverages and fresh food items in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality industry, working alongside a dedicated team committed to providing memorable experiences for our customers.
We are looking for a part-timer to join our wonderful team to help us continue delivering exceptional service to all our lovely customers. We are looking for full flexibility within our opening hours; an ideal candidate must be available throughout the day Monday-Saturday.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, specialised drinks, and fresh food items, ensuring consistency and quality. An aptitude for latte art is a bonus!
- Greet guests warmly, taking orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale system with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities.
- Follow food safety standards and health regulations diligently.
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or cafe environments is a must.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques.
- Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities to handle busy periods effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour.
- Ability to perform basic maths accurately for cash handling and transactions.
- Experience in barista roles is essential, an aptitude for latte art
- A proactive attitude with a focus on delivering outstanding guest service and upselling opportunities.
