As an Activities Co-ordinator, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our care home for the elderly and those with dementia. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. You will be responsible for organising and creating a varied activities programme, from organised hobbies to group events, all of which will promote independence, choice and dignity for our residents
You will to get to know our residents, their interests and life stories, so you can deliver events that truly enrich their lives and ensure they feel connected with their community.
Whilst motivating colleagues to support events in the home, you will also be responsible for actively promoting activities in the community and encourage family and friends to become involved.
You will keep up-to-date with the necessary paperwork.
About You
We’re looking for someone with a background working in care homes, ideally developing activity programmes. Beyond that, it’s all about your brilliant, positive energy and natural ability to get along with people. You’ll have great planning, organisational and IT skills, be able to manage your time effectively and be comfortable developing relationships in the local community to promote the home. And, whenever you communicate with a resident or co-worker, you’ll be truly considerate and kind.
