Part-Time Cleaner – Language School & Residential Accommodation
Location: Westgate-on-Sea, Kent
Hours: 3–6 days per week, 2–4 hours per day (up to 15 hours per week)
Salary: Competitive hourly rate £13
About Us
London House School of English is a friendly and welcoming language school with residential accommodation for international students. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to help maintain high standards of cleanliness across our student accommodation and school facilities.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Cleaning student bedrooms and common areas
- Cleaning bathrooms, toilets, showers, and washrooms
- Vacuuming carpets and mopping floors
- Dusting and wiping surfaces
- Emptying bins and removing rubbish
- Replenishing toilet paper, soap, and other consumables
- Making up beds and changing bed linen when required
- Reporting maintenance issues or repairs needed
- Helping maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the property
- Using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
- Following health and safety guidelines at all times
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Clean DBS Check will be necessary
- Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Physical ability to carry out cleaning duties
- Positive attitude and willingness to help
- Good level of English
Desirable
- Previous cleaning experience in hotels, guest houses, schools, care homes, student accommodation, or similar environments
- Knowledge of cleaning products and safe cleaning practices
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment
