Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of cakes, ensuring consistency and quality in flavor and presentation
- Decorate cakes with intricate designs, themes, and personalized touches according to customer specifications
- Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness throughout the kitchen and decorating areas
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production of baked goods for daily operations
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as mixing, frosting, and assembling cakes
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, notifying management when restocking is needed
- Follow all health regulations and safety procedures to uphold a safe working environment
Experience
- Proven experience in food production, baking, or cake decorating within a bakery, restaurant, or culinary setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen best practices
- Skilled in food preparation techniques including baking, frosting, piping, and decorating with various mediums
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Familiarity with culinary tools and equipment used in cake decoration and baking processes
- Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable but not mandatory for passionate learners willing to grow their skills
