Content Creator
Manchester Based
Social Hotspot is hiring a Content Creator in Manchester — a part-time role to start (around 30 hours a week) that grows into full-time as you prove yourself, with pay between £10.85 and £12.71 an hour depending on age , rising into the £22,000–£24,000+ range as the role expands. This is an on-site, travel-heavy position, not remote, so we're only considering candidates based in Manchester or within easy commuting distance.
We're a fast-growing Manchester agency helping UK trades businesses — bathroom, kitchen and window companies — win customers through Meta advertising. We're scaling from 80 to 120+ clients over the next year, and we want someone who grows into owning how that story gets told, not just documents it.
WHAT YOU'LL DO TO START
- Attend client shoots, new and existing, and capture footage
- Film the run-up to and the day of our client events bi-yearly
- Document the founder's day-to-day for his personal YouTube channel
- Edit footage into long-form and short-form video content
- Support podcast production and editing
WHAT THE ROLE GROWS INTO
- Full ownership of organic content across our channels
- Running the podcast end-to-end,
- Drafting ad creative scripts against our existing frameworks, with growing independence
- A real role in shaping how Social Hotspot tells its story, not just producing it
WHAT MOVES YOU TO FULL-TIME Real markers, not a fixed date: shooting and editing without hand-holding, consistent turnaround times, and content that's actually performing. Hit those, and your hours, pay and responsibility grow with you.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We don't mind whether you've got a full portfolio or none at all the application matters more than the CV. You'll do well here if you:
- Are reliable and don't need chasing
- Are comfortable travelling regularly
- Have a decent eye, even untrained
- Genuinely want to get good at this, and eventually want to write as well as shoot
Any interest in copywriting is a bonus, even without professional experience.
WHAT YOU'LL GET
- Direct mentorship from the founder on a real, growing business
- A visible path from part-time production work to a senior content role
- Increasing ownership and pay as you prove yourself
- A front-row seat as we scale toward 80 clients and a 10-person team
