Duties
- Carefully fillet and portion fish according to specified standards, maintaining consistency and quality.
- Prepare fish for packaging by removing bones, skinning, and trimming as needed.
- Follow all food safety protocols to ensure cleanliness and prevent contamination during food preparation.
- Assist with other food production tasks such as cleaning workstations, organizing supplies, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including proper handling of raw seafood.
- Support the team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure compliance with sanitation standards.
Skills
- Previous experience in food production or culinary roles, especially involving fish or seafood is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation procedures.
- Experience with butchery or meat cutting techniques enhances efficiency in filleting fish.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment used for fish preparation and cleaning.
