Job Purpose
To carry out reactive and planned repairs and maintenance across sites to ensure buildings remain safe, functional, and maintained to a high standard. The role involves diagnosing faults, undertaking repairs, and ensuring compliance with UK safety regulations. Carrying out civils works as p[art of a team.
Key Responsibilities
· Carry out reactive maintenance repairs.
· Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks as scheduled.
· Diagnose faults in building fabric and basic building services.
· Undertake general repairs including plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical works, plastering, and decorating.
· Carry out door, lock, and window repairs.
· Ensure properties remain safe, secure, and compliant.

· Maintain clear records of work completed using job sheets or maintenance software.
· Communicate effectively with tenants, property managers, and contractors.
· Identify and report larger defects or specialist works requiring subcontractors.
· Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
· Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good condition.
· Respond to emergency call-outs where required.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in property maintenance or building repairs.
- Strong multi-trade skills (carpentry, plumbing, basic electrics, decorating).
- Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Experience working within residential housing, lettings, or property management environments.
- Civils works, including excavating and concrete works.
- Able to work as part of a team and under instruction (lone working)
- Good communication skills when dealing with tenants and clients.
- Qualifications (Desirable)
- ·NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Property Maintenance / Carpentry / Plumbing / Building Maintenance
- CSCS Card
- IPAF / PASMA - Desirable
- Basic electrical qualification - Desirable
- Asbestos Awareness - Desirable
- Manual Handling training - Desirable
- Other Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Working from and to Daventry base
- Willingness to travel between sites
- Ability to participate in an on-call rota if required

Typical Working Hours
- Monday to Friday – 42.5 hours per week. Overtime and emergency call-outs may be required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 42.5 per week
