Smoker Trainee / Production Operative – Seafood Processing

Backshift: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm
Full-Time Position
Our Client, a leading seafood processor based in Fraserburgh is currently looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join their Smoking Team on a full-time backshift basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within seafood production. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Please note: this role involves a significant amount of manual handling and heavy lifting, so candidates must be physically fit and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Training within the Smoking Department as part of the production team
- Learning and operating equipment used throughout the smoking process
- Handling and moving products safely throughout the shift
- Maintaining accurate written records and CCP documentation
- Supporting production targets and quality standards
- Working closely with the wider team to ensure smooth operations
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience within seafood or food production is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of smoking processes would be advantageous, although full training can be provided
- Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting throughout the shift
- Motivated, reliable, and punctual with a strong attendance record
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
