Inchpark Surgery is a growing, dynamic, Primary Care team looking to recruit an enthusiastic practice nurse to join us. We prioritise providing continuity, excellence in personalised patient care and quality improvement.
We are located in central Edinburgh and have a current list size of circa 6000 patients split between 6 partners. Our nursing team currently consists of two practice nurses and two phlebotomists. With all the changes and challenges in healthcare we are constantly evolving our ways of working and encourage input from the whole team. We are committed to quality improvement and complete regular projects to maximise our efficiency and clinical care. Within the fully-staffed medical team we have special interests in lifestyle medicine, diabetes, prescribing, family planning, menopause and MSK medicine so there is a wealth of opportunity for new team members to develop their own interests in these areas. We have an expanding MDT with Clinical Pharmacists, an APP physiotherapist, a Practice Mental Health Nurse and a Community Link Worker who all provide fantastic services for our patients.
The role of practice nurse would be ideally suited to a driven individual who aligns with our values and has experience in providing top-quality nursing care. Specific skills in chronic disease management, cervical screening and wound management are welcome but we are open to working with the right applicant to develop their nursing career goals. You should enjoy variety in your practice and be an excellent communicator. We are a training practice for GPs and Foundation Doctors and encourage all team members to be involved with this.
We are looking for part time hours (24 per week) on a permanent contract. The precise spread of hours is flexible and could be ideal for someone looking to fit in work around caring commitments. A full driving licence is desirable. Pay is negotiable dependent on experience.
To apply or arrange an informal visit to the practice, please contact the Practice Manager, Simone Henderson.
