We're looking for a proactive and knowledgeable HR Officer to join our People Services team. This is primarily an HR generalist role with responsibility for supporting and coordinating the organisation's Health & Safety activities, helping to promote a safe and positive working environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a high-quality, professional HR service within Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
You will provide expert HR advice across a broad range of people-related matters, supporting managers and employees throughout the employee lifecycle. Alongside your HR responsibilities, you will act as the People Services’ point of contact for Health & Safety, helping to maintain compliance, promote best practice, and support a strong safety culture.
You will also contribute to the continuous development of HR policies, processes, and initiatives that support both organisational objectives and employee experience.
What You Will Be Doing
- Delivering professional HR advice in line with legislation and best practice.
- Supporting recruitment, performance management, employee relations, learning and development, and wellbeing initiatives.
- Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Producing HR reports and insights to support decision-making.
- Coordinating and supporting Health & Safety activities across the organisation.
- Providing guidance to managers on Health & Safety matters and supporting compliance with relevant legislation.
- Supporting the delivery of training across HR and Health & Safety topics.
We're keen to hear from candidates who bring:
- Strong HR generalist experience.
- An interest in and understanding of Health & Safety practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate verbally to Level B2 Welsh.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
- CIPD Level 5.
- IOSH qualification - desirable, training may be provided (or equivalent Health & Safety certification) or willingness to work towards one.
- Knowledge of HR systems.
Salary and Benefits:
A salary of £32,597- £34,434, pro rata per annum, minimum 25 days’ holiday, rising to 30 days plus public holidays, generous local government pension scheme, great flexible working arrangements and career development opportunities.

Yn ogystal â’ch cyfrifoldebau AD, chi fydd pwynt cyswllt y Gwasanaethau Pobl o ran Iechyd a Diogelwch, a byddwch yn helpu i gynnal cydymffurfiaeth, hyrwyddo arfer gorau, a chynorthwyo diwylliant cadarn o ddiogelwch.
Hefyd byddwch yn cyfrannu at ddatblygu polisïau, prosesau a mentrau AD yn barhaus sy'n cynnal amcanion y sefydliad a phrofiad y gweithwyr.
Beth Fyddwch yn Ei Wneud
- Rhoi cyngor AD proffesiynol yn unol â’r ddeddfwriaeth ac arferion gorau.
- Cynorthwyo’r broses o recriwtio, rheoli perfformiad, cysylltiadau gweithwyr, dysgu a datblygu, a mentrau llesiant.
- Datblygu a gweithredu’r polisïau a’r gweithdrefnau AD.
- Llunio adroddiadau a mewnwelediad ar faterion AD i lywio’r gwaith o wneud penderfyniadau.
- Cydlynu a chynorthwyo’r gweithgareddau Iechyd a Diogelwch ar draws y sefydliad.
- Rhoi canllawiau i’r rheolwyr ar faterion Iechyd a Diogelwch, a chynorthwyo i gydymffurfio â’r ddeddfwriaeth berthnasol.
- Cynorthwyo’r gwaith o gyflwyno hyfforddiant ar draws materion AD ac Iechyd a Diogelwch.
