Small 5* Rated workshop looking for an A Player to join the team.
Duties
- Supervise daily garage operations, including scheduling and workflow management to maximize productivity
- Oversee vehicle repairs and maintenance, ensuring all work meets safety standards and quality benchmarks
- Coordinate with technicians to assign tasks, monitor progress, and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
- Maintain inventory of hand tools, power tools, and parts; ensure proper use and storage
- Enforce safety protocols and cleanliness standards to create a secure working environment
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to foster skill development
- Manage customer interactions by providing updates on vehicle status and addressing concerns promptly
Experience
- Proven experience in automotive repair or servicing roles with strong mechanical knowledge
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a garage or workshop setting
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools essential for vehicle maintenance tasks
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to automotive work environments
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and customers
I am looking primarily for someone to replace me in the business - so as to ensure we are working at maximum efficiency - rather than me working "in" the business i want to spend more time working on the business to develop new revenue streams. We have a solid team of two techs and one diag tech, so managing them, optimising workflow and so on is the priority moving forward. Absolutely full on site training will be given as well as opportunity to have further training. Generous team bonus scheme applied for all staff.
Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
