We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our events run smoothly, delivering high-quality food service while maintaining the standards of fine dining.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of food for catering events, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Set up and break down banquet tables, serving stations, and other event areas as required.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and serving food and beverages promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals and maintain cleanliness in food preparation areas.
- Support dietary needs by understanding menu items and assisting guests with their selections.
- Maintain inventory of catering supplies and report any shortages or needs to management.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality throughout all events, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
Skills
- Previous experience in fine dining or restaurant settings is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Experience in food preparation, catering, or banquet services is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience as a dietary aide or barista is a plus, enhancing versatility within the role.
