Caffeine Addict is an exciting coffee concept brewing up a storm in the heart of Headingley! We are on the hunt for a passionate Coffee House Barista to join our team and come on this adventure with us!
We are seeking an enthusiastic Barista who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering top-notch customer service. Main Duties:
- Responsible for taking orders, preparing and serving coffee and other beverages to customers
- Clean and sanitise work area, utensils and equipment
- Maintain tidy and clean seating and customer area
- Open and closure of Coffee House as required
- Ordering, receiving and distributing stock supplies
- Report any challenges or equipment faults timely to management
- Competent in using POS system
- Receiving and processing customer payments
- Support kitchen assistant with occasional preparation and serving of light food orders
- Describing menu items, suggesting products to customers and upselling
- Accommodate to customer needs and dietary requirements.
- Maintain the high standards set out by the management team
- To adhere to all company and statutory health & safety requirements.
- To attend any relevant meetings or training courses as requested.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Have a minimum 3 years barista experience including latte art
- Competent in making consistently excellent coffee
- Excellent in person customer service skills
- Ability to respond swiftly and effectively to challenges and manage customer expectations
- Be comfortable and thrive working in a busy fast paced environment
- Good level of attention-to-detail
- Good level of literacy and numeracy
- Enthusiasm to develop your skills and knowledge
- Adaptable to change and willing to embrace new ideas and processes
- Ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality work
- Positive and approachable manner
- Be a team player
This role is on a rota basis with timings between 7am - 7pm. Weekends and Bank Holidays will be included.
