We are an established family-run transport company looking for a reliable and professional HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our team.
The driver will start and finish the working week from our operating base in Droitwich. The position involves UK general haulage using a 13.6-metre curtainsider trailer, with approximately four nights out each week.
Pay and benefits:
- £3,700 per month, paid monthly
- £26 night-out allowance for every night completed
- Discretionary performance-related bonus may be available, depending on workload, company performance and the safe completion of additional work

Main responsibilities:
- Completing UK collections and deliveries safely and on time
- Carrying out daily vehicle and trailer checks
- Reporting vehicle or trailer defects immediately
- Securing loads correctly and operating curtainsider trailers safely
- Following drivers’ hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph regulations
- Keeping accurate paperwork and obtaining signed PODs
- Reporting delays or delivery issues promptly
- Communicating professionally with customers and the transport office
- Keeping the vehicle clean and in good condition
Requirements:
- Valid Category C+E/Class 1 driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid digital tachograph card
- Previous Class 1 driving experience
- Previous tramping and curtainsider experience preferred
- Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and tachograph regulations
- Able to stay away from Monday to Friday, normally four nights per week
- Able to travel to Droitwich to start and finish the working week
- Reliable, responsible and able to work independently
- Able to communicate clearly with customers and the transport office
- Right to work in the UK
- Driving licence and endorsements must be acceptable to the company’s insurer
