Summary
We are currently looking for a fun loving, enthusiastic, highly motivated and energetic individual who is great with kids to join our team as assistant coach on Sunday mornings at Knowle Village Community Hall. Ideally you will have experience of working with young children and a passion for sport as you will be delivering our dynamic rugby-themed sessions that promote physical activity and social interaction among children aged two to seven but you MUST have a fun and outgoing personality who can engage young children, as well as have a high level of commitment. .We'll provide you with full on the job training and the right candidate will have the opportunity to progress to the position of lead coach if desired.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate engaging rugby-based activities for 2 to 7 year old children
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during sessions.
- Adapt coaching techniques to suit different age groups and skill levels.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, motivating and fun environment.
- Promote the programme's values of fun, learning, and physical activity.
- Maintain equipment and ensure the session area is safe and organized.
- Qualifications
- Ideally you will have proven experience in sports coaching or teaching young children.
- Knowledge of rugby is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with both children and parents.
- Ability to create an enjoyable learning environment.
- Reliable, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Passion for sport and promoting active lifestyles among children.

Additional information:
- We provide you with a 6-8 week training programme alongside an experienced lead coach
- We carry out a DBS check for successful applicants, and also check personal references
- Minimum age for assistant coach is 16yrs and lead coach is 18yrs
- All applicants must have a valid work permit or visa to work in the UK
