Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 1 Bulk Powder Tanker Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively. The successful applicant will have experience in commercial driving. Weekend and Bank Holiday work may be required dependant on shift system. This is a tramping role and nights out will be required with this position. Various shift options may be available to the right candidate.
Duties
- Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner while adhering to all traffic regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Follow company policies and procedures related to safety, compliance, and customer service.
- Assist with route planning to optimise delivery efficiency.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a HGV Class 1 Bulk Powder Tanker Driver would be an advantage however, full training would be given to the right applicant.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
