Overview
You must be a U.K based qualified Optometrist and already registered with the General Optical Council and eligible to work in the capacity of an Optometrist in the U.K. Join our dynamic team, where you will play a vital role in providing exceptional eye care and vision solutions to diverse patient populations. In this engaging position, you will ensure each client receives personalised and comprehensive care. Your expertise will help improve patients’ quality of life through clear vision and healthy eyes, while working in a supportive environment that values professional growth and patient well-being.
Duties
- Conduct thorough eye examinations to evaluate visual acuity, eye health, and overall ocular function.
- Detect and refer common eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration etc...
- Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, or vision therapy tailored to individual needs.
- Provide patient education on eye health maintenance, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals for advanced cases or surgical referrals.
- Maintain accurate patient records, document findings, and update treatment plans regularly.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and uphold the highest standards of client care at all times.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy with a focus on ocular structures and visual systems.
- Excellent client care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically.
- Experience in managing senior clients who may have age-related eye conditions or mobility challenges.
- Ability to perform detailed examinations using diagnostic equipment.
- Proactive approach to educating patients about eye health and preventive practices.
- Attention to detail in documenting clinical findings and treatment plans accurately.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in optometry practices.

Pay: £300.00-£375.00 per day
