We are looking for a proactive and delivery-focused Projects Officer to play a key role in maintaining and improving our diverse property portfolio across temporary housing and corporate landlord buildings.
This is a hands-on role where you will lead the coordination and delivery of property maintenance, minor works projects, and housing interventions, ensuring that our buildings remain safe, compliant, and fit for purpose.
You will take ownership of:
- Managing temporary accommodation voids, ensuring properties are quickly turned around to a good standard and ready for reoccupation that meet Decent Home Standards and internal lettable standards.
- Delivering minor works and refurbishment projects across a range of council-owned properties, supporting property disposals and hand backs, reviewing surveys for potential acquisitions, and managing minor works projects across the wider estate portfolio—including mobile home parks, commercial premises, arts centres, and public toilet facilities
- Leading on damp and mould investigations, coordinating effective remediation works, and improving property conditions for residents
- Contractors and in-house direct labour teams delivery, ensuring works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
- Collaborate to design a planned capital works programme across the estate, carrying out condition surveys and incorporating whole life costings.
Working across housing and corporate assets, you will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to programme, prioritise, and deliver works that make a visible difference to residents and service users.
This role requires someone who can balance planned maintenance, reactive issues, and project delivery, while maintaining strong oversight of quality, cost, and performance.
