Electrical Installation Engineer

We're looking for an Electrical Installation Engineer to join our growing team, delivering innovative automation and control systems across the UK's water industry. If you enjoy hands-on electrical installation, varied project work and developing your PLC skills, we'd love to hear from you.
No two weeks are the same. One day you could be installing new control panels at a water treatment works, the next commissioning PLC equipment on site or supporting customers alongside our experienced Controls Engineers. You'll work independently on some projects and as part of a wider engineering team on others, giving you plenty of variety and opportunities to develop your skills.
You'll install, commission and support electrical control systems while receiving training to expand your knowledge of PLC programming and controls engineering.
This is a field-based role covering customer sites across the South of England. Most sites are within around three hours of the office, and overnight stays are kept to a minimum (typically less than one night per week). When an overnight stay is required, hotel accommodation is fully provided.
Full-time position 45 hours working week, Monday to Friday
What we are looking for
- Electrical qualifications C&G, BTEC, NVQ3, ONC or HNC/HND, 18th edition required.
- ECS Gold card holder or able to qualify for one, which would be covered by Adsyst.
- Previous experience in a service & support, electrical installation or maintenance role.
- Control Panel design, manufacture or electrical installation skills.
- Experience of equipment installation and commissioning, such as PLC’s
What we require from you
- A minimum of 2 years of practical experience
- Previous solid understanding of reading electrical diagrams for control panel wiring or electrical installation.
- Level 3 Electrical Installation (2365)
- Level 3 Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS7671:2018)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- UK Driving License – ability to drive company vehicles (welfare vans)
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
