We are seeking a reliable and professional Van Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely and accurate service. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service. The purpose of this role is to complete a range of deliveries and occasionally support the wider Operations Team. The ideal applicant will possess strong communication skills, experience in commercial driving, and the physical capability to handle heavy lifting when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Loading the vehicle in line with the planned route for the day
- Planning the delivery routes
- Greeting customers, obtaining signatures and providing delivery notes
- Collecting goods from a depot, warehouse or pick-up point for customer returns and samples
- Ensuring communication with the Transport Office in case of any delays or issues
- Daily vehicle checks
- Fuelling of vehicle using the company's fuel card and recording of this with receipts
- Returning undelivered items when necessary
- Occasional support of the wider Operations Team as deemed necessary by the Transport Manager and Operations Manager.
Experience
- Excellent practical driving skills
- The ability to work quickly and to tight deadlines
- Lifting and carrying skills
- The ability to complete record sheets and paperwork
- Good professional manner and verbal communication with internal employees and customers
- A good level of English and maths skills
- Suitable driving record and driving licence.
Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable, however full training will be provided.
