Stores / Dispatch Operator
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week. Monday to Thursday 09.00am – 4.00pm (inclusive of breaks)
LML Products was established in Calne in1968. Our core business activities are the manufacture of bespoke copper connections, terminations, busbars and other related products for electrical & electronic applications.
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and organised Stores Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient receipt, storage, picking and distribution of stock/goods, ensuring that the stores operation runs smoothly and accurately.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards, works well as part of a team and has excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, check and accurately record incoming goods.
- Safely store stock in the appropriate locations.
- Pick & pack parts according to the customer’s order requirements.
- Maintain accurate stock records and carry out perpetual inventory checks.
- Ensure the stores area is clean, tidy and organised.
- Follow company procedures relating to stock control and health and safety.
- Report damaged, missing or incorrect stock promptly.
- Support stock takes and investigate discrepancies.
- Work closely with purchasing, production, engineering and other departments to ensure materials are available when required.
- Carry out other reasonable duties associated with the role.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is organised, dependable and able to work to deadlines.
- Has good attention to detail and high quality standards.
- Can work independently as well as part of a team.
- Has good communication and basic IT skills.
- Is physically capable of handling stock and picking/packing goods safely.
- Has a positive, flexible and can-do attitude.
· Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or logistics environment would be very beneficial but not absolutely necessary.
