Property Maintenance & General Works – Full Time
We have a varied, hands-on role available within our family business, working across our commercial and residential properties Clear Space and Hawksfield.
This is a full-time position for someone who enjoys practical work and variety. No two days will necessarily be the same, with the role covering everything from general building and maintenance work to painting, decorating, outdoor jobs and dealing with the day-to-day fixes that come with looking after commercial properties.
We’re looking for someone who is practical, reliable and happy to get stuck in, whether working independently or alongside the rest of the team.
The Role
Day-to-day jobs will include:
- General building and maintenance work
- Painting and decorating
- Repairs and general property upkeep
- Basic carpentry and practical jobs
- Pressure washing and exterior cleaning
- Grass cutting and gardening
- Keeping sites clean, tidy and well maintained
- Responding to tenant maintenance issues
- Moving equipment, materials between sites
- Carrying out general improvements to our commercial spaces
- Other day-to-day jobs and repairs as required
This is a genuinely diverse role, so we are looking for someone who is flexible and comfortable turning their hand to different jobs.
The Ideal Candidate
You will:
- Have previous maintenance, building or property experience
- Be practical and confident using tools
- Have great attention to detail
- Be able to work efficiently without constant supervision
- Be equally comfortable working alone or as part of a team
- Take pride in keeping buildings and outdoor areas looking their best
- Be reliable, organised and willing to tackle a wide range of jobs
- Hold a full UK driving licence
Experience across areas such as building work, decorating, carpentry, grounds maintenance or general property maintenance would be particularly useful.
Job Details
Full Time – Monday to Friday
Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm
Holiday: 28 days
Breaks: 2 x 15-minute tea breaks
Lunch: 1:00pm – 2:00pm
The role will involve working between our Clear Space and Hawksfield sites, so applicants must be comfortable travelling between locations as required, you will be provided with a work van as well.
