We’re looking for an experienced Voids Multi-Trade Operative who genuinely understands Social Housing void works.
And when we say void experience, we mean it.
You understand the difference between carrying out a repair and taking responsibility for getting an empty property back to a safe, compliant, clean and lettable standard – on time.
You know that voids move quickly.
You know deadlines matter.
You know one job can uncover three more.
And you know that standing around waiting for somebody else to solve every little problem doesn’t get the property handed back.
We need someone who can walk into a void, understand what needs doing, get stuck in and help us get that property turned around properly.

- Have genuine experience working on Social Housing void properties
- Understand void turnaround times and client expectations
- Take ownership of their work
- Can work across multiple trades
- Find solutions instead of excuses
- Understand the importance of getting properties completed on programme

- Work efficiently without sacrificing quality
- Communicate problems early rather than at the end of the job
- Work well alongside other trades and supervisors
- Take pride in the finished property
- Understand that the final 5% matters just as much as the first 95%

The Role
You'll work predominantly across Social Housing void properties throughout the South Coast, helping us turn empty homes around efficiently and to the standards expected by our Housing Association and Local Authority clients.
Typical works could include:
- Kitchen fitting and kitchen repairs
- Bathroom replacements and remedial works
- Carpentry and joinery
- Plumbing repairs
- Vinyl flooring
- Door and ironmongery repairs
- Lock changes
- Tiling
- Patch plastering
- Making good
- Silicone and sealant works
- Minor decorating
- General property repairs
- Snagging
- Final finishing works
- Getting properties ready for handover
Some properties need relatively straightforward works.
Others need considerably more.
The ability to think on your feet is essential.
