Friends Helping at Home are a small but growing introductory agency for Service Providers in home care. We are a domiciliary care company with a difference - we offer our Service Providers a network of support to be self employed. Friends Helping at Home – North Devon are looking for dedicated and conscientious home care assistants to register with us on a self employed basis. We’re seeking caring and compassionate individuals who enjoy interacting with clients and assisting them with their daily living in their own homes. How do we work? We match you with our clients and then introduce you to them before you commit to your new customer. Once you have committed to your customers, they become yours and you are then in control of your diary and it’s your responsibility to discuss the visits times with your customer. You build a rapport and a good working relationship with your customers and help and support them in the way that you feel is best with as much or as little support from us as you need.
Self employment: In order to register with Friends Helping at Home, you must be registered with HMRC as a self-employed worker. You must have public liability in place and your training portfolio must be up to date. It’s not something that you need to worry about if you’ve never been self-employed before. We can provide you with support to help you through the process.
What’s the process in registering with Friends Helping at Home? We like to have an informal chat with you to make sure you are the right fit for Friends. But also, to make sure that Friends is right for you too. This is the time to ask any questions about registering as self employed, how we work as an agency and how you can fit work around home life. We strongly believe that there should be a healthy work/life balance. If you’re happy, then your clients are happy too! If we decide that Friends Helping at Home is right for you (and us!), we will then start the registration process. You could be out working with clients in as little as a few days. We also welcome care assistants who currently run their own business who are looking for additional clients to top up their round.
Pay: £18.00-£20.00 per hour
