As we continue to grow, we are looking for a highly organised, driven, and hands-on Operations Manager to lead our operational teams and ensure the business delivers exceptional service, operational excellence, and accountability every day.

The Role
The Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our operational teams and activities.
You will lead and manage:
- Warehouse Operatives
- Multi-Skilled Vending Operators
- Field Service Engineers
- Technical Service Lead
You will also take ownership of:
- Warehouse operations
- Inventory and stock control
- Vehicle fleet management
- Premises and facilities
- Health & Safety
- Operational planning
- Service delivery
- Continuous improvement projects
This role reports directly to the Managing Director and plays a critical role in ensuring the business runs efficiently and professionally.
What You'll Be Doing
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, motivate and manage operational teams
- Set clear expectations and performance standards
- Conduct regular one-to-one meetings
- Manage attendance, performance and development
- Support recruitment and onboarding
- Build a culture of accountability and ownership
Operational Management
- Manage daily operational activities
- Coordinate routes, installations and service schedules
- Ensure resources are effectively allocated
- Monitor productivity and performance
- Resolve operational issues quickly and effectively
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Oversee goods inwards and stock control
- Ensure inventory accuracy
- Manage warehouse standards and organisation
- Monitor stock levels and replenishment
- Reduce waste and stock losses
Engineering & Technical Operations
- Manage machine installations and breakdowns
- Support preventative maintenance programmes
- Ensure engineering resources are utilised effectively
- Drive machine uptime and service quality
Fleet & Facilities Management
- Manage vehicle compliance and maintenance schedules
- Oversee premises maintenance and security
- Coordinate contractors and service providers
- Ensure a safe and professional working environment
Health & Safety
- Maintain operational compliance
- Conduct inspections and audits
- Ensure safe working practices
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
What We're Looking For

- Have previous experience managing operational teams

Essential Experience
- Previous Operations Manager, Depot Manager, Warehouse Manager, Logistics Manager, Service Manager or similar experience
- Experience managing teams
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Experience working with KPIs and performance metrics
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Experience
- Vending industry experience
- Engineering or field service management experience
- Warehouse and logistics experience
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
- Experience implementing operational improvements
